Rob holds a wealth of experience in dealing with the tax issues and opportunities facing hedge fund managers having specialised in the taxation of fund managers and investment funds for most of his professional career. He joined HedgeStart in 2001 to offer comprehensive tax services including operational and fund tax planning and implementation, transfer pricing advice, remuneration planning and corporate and personal tax compliance and tax risk management.

Prior to HedgeStart, he was a senior tax partner at Arthur Andersen since 1990, having joined Arthur Anderson in 1979. In addition to advising clients, he created and led Arthur Andersen's UK hedge fund practice and also established and managed the firm's offshore tax practice. He joined Arthur Andersen after reading Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982.

Rob's clients have included UK mutual and alternative asset managers, fund administrators, investment banks, innovative investment funds and offshore financial structures. He has also advised a number of global institutions including a leading US private equity group, a multi-national banking and asset management group and a significant number of hedge fund managers.
